Nashville Scene Names McLemore Auction Company the Best Place to Buy Old Furniture
The Nashville Scene has named McLemore Auction Company as the best place to buy old furniture in their 2009 "Best of Nashville" issue.

Two parcels surrounding Dotson’s Restaurant on East Main Street were sold by McLemore Auction Company at absolute auction Thursday morning for a bid of $633,000 to Franklin developer Preston Ingram. With a 10% buyer’s premium, the total contract price came to $696,300.
Ingram did not attend the auction, but submitted his bid via telephone. A representative of the company under which he purchased the land, Crossfire Development, also was on-hand to sign a purchase contract and provide a 10 percent down payment. In accordance with the terms of the auction, Crossfire Development has until Sept. 24 to close.

Gateway to Franklin's Downtown to Change Hands Today
Today, two commercial properties, one at 95 E. Main St. and one at 99A E. Main St., will be sold individually at public auction to the highest bidders in an attempt to help Pinnacle National Bank recoup its costs for buying the land in March.
The two pieces of land total a little more than 2 acres and bookend Dotson's Restaurant, though the restaurant itself is not for sale. Bidding on the property will begin at 11 a.m. at the site, and buyers must be able to make a 10 percent down payment today and come up with the rest by closing or before Sept. 24. The sale will be conducted by McLemore Auction Company.
