Will McLemore
In more than a decade as an auctioneer, Will McLemore has sold more than $50 million of real estate and personal property at auction while working for some of the largest auction firms in the world including Sotheby's, J. P. King Auction Company and Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers.
A native of Nashville, Mr. McLemore holds a BA from Yale University in New Haven, CT. He studied auctioneering at the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in High Point, NC, and then went on to work in the contemporary art department at Sotheby's in New York.
Mr. McLemore served as a salesperson with J. P. King Auction Company in Gadsden, Alabama from 1999 until his promotion to Regional Vice President in 2003. As Regional Vice President, Mr. McLemore managed J. P. King's business in the Southwestern United States. With J. P. King, Mr. McLemore arranged several of its high profile sales including the sale of Barbara Mandrell's home, Fontanel, among many others.
During 2005 and 2006, Mr. McLemore developed a real estate auction division for the world's largest industrial auction company, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. During his tenure, Mr. McLemore grew sales in the United States from zero in 2004 to more than $15 million in 2006.
In 2006, Mr. McLemore founded McLemore Auction Company, LLC and opened its Nashville headquarters. He created the company to provide owners of real estate and personal property in Tennessee with an high quality auction service based on leading edge technology.
Mr. McLemore is currently Vice President of the Tennessee Auctioneers Association and Vice President of the Middle Tennessee Auctioneers Group. He serves as a member of the Technology Committee of the National Auctioneers Association. He is a member of the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors and holds real estate and auction licenses in multiple states.
