Auctions can be an excellent way to convert assets into cash. A cost effective and efficient auction solution for your property depends on what you have to sell and what you are trying to accomplish through that sale.
The auction sales process begins with an inspection of your property and a discussion of your objectives.

If you have real estate or personal property to sell, please call us or email us at info@mclemoreauction.com to arrange a meeting.

Though all our recommendations will be customized according to your objectives and assets, it might be useful for you to understand in general terms what McLemore Auction Company, LLC can do for you.

We offer several types of auctions for both real estate and personal property.

Regardless of the location of the assets to be sold, we catalog and describe the property in detail and offer a description and photographs of each auction lot at www.mclemoreauction.com. Bidders register to bid at the website and are qualified by submitting a credit card number. They may then submit their maximum bid for each item. These bids are entered on the bidders’ behalf according to the appropriate bidding increment and other bids for that item. The bidders may always raise their maximum when they have been outbid. The auction ends at a designated time, though items with active bidding are automatically extended to ensure all bidders have fully participated. Bidders submit payment and arrange shipping or pickup their items.

For all online auctions, we will arrange auction viewing dates and times so prospective bidders can see the property in person. The reduced auction expenses associated with this type of sale typically make it appropriate for liquidations of small inventories or collections that are too small to justify the expense of a live auction. Usually, we recommend this type of auction for personal property only.

For more valuable collections or inventories of personal property or for real estate, we conduct live auctions. We catalogue and photograph the items as described above. We usually carry out these auctions on location or from a leased auction salesroom. We will either demonstrate the auction lots in person or by projecting photographs of the items to the crowd via LCD projector.

For most live auctions, we will arrange auction viewing dates and times so prospective bidders can see the property in person before the sale. This type of auction works very well for both personal property and real estate.

For tracts of land that may be subdivided before being sold, a multiple parcel real estate auction will often realize more for the sellers than any other method of sale. We work with sellers of tract of land like this to subdivide and describe the property to be sold. We would carry out the auction so that bidders may submit bids for any combination of parcels of land, from a single tract to the entire property. We use a computer to calculate which combination of bids will produce the highest gross sales price for the seller. The computer also allows us to identify bidders not involved in the winning combination so we can prompt them to increase their bids.

This method allows sellers to sell multiple tracts of land to multiple buyers on a single day.
Of course, we market all three types of auctions in many ways, including direct mail, email, print advertising, online advertising, signage and public relations.

Feel free to contact us anytime via telephone or email. We will be happy to examine any assets and make recommendations as to their effective disposition.

We look forward to working for you.
